I guess that means the main event from Germany and then 3 hours of undercard from Nottingham before Froch-Dirrel at 2am?

Gaz, do you have the link to the page where this was originally announced? You were all talking about refreshing a page earlier.

And won't be, the way he is being promoted, surely the sensible solution is to get him on TV (**** the money) and cash in when his profile is built up.

It's a classic 'what comes first, the chicken or the egg' scenario, but Hennessey has eaten the *******s

Yeah, thats the problem. Froch is 31, relatively unknown and about to start on a series of fights where theres every chance he's going to lose his title. I can see why Hennessy want to cash in straight away but he created the beginings of this problem by how he's promoted Froch in the years leading up to this.

Do you think handling the Taylor defence differently would have helped or do you think the damage was done already?

Probably done already to a large extent but the credit crunch and the TV companies tightening their belts at the same time as Froch was winning his title didn't help either....

Yeah, bad timing all round. If Froch wins this thing, or even just has a good run, will he make some good cash in your opinion?

I'd say so mate, he's got a least 2 more PPVs (inc. a biggish, easy to sell one against Kessler) and then maybe 2 more. Making the final against an attractive opponent should also be a great earner.

Can you imagine what a PITA Hennesey is going to be to negotiate with if Froch makes the final? I hope Showtime have those contracts worded VERY carefully.....;)

Haha, yes there could be problems although I've a feeling Abraham is going to take Froch's head off.
