You are from London...ok....Dirrell's a mouthy twat....and for Froch..?

The only two person who can do upset here are those who are seen as ''green'' Dirrell and Ward. Any other win, Taylor over AA, Froch over Kessler, or any other combination would not be upset. If the two young ricans are able to get past the first round of the tournament, this will be a upset.

Watching that fight camp 360 ... it really showed how much work that Carl Froch puts into a fight. I'm going to give him a chance pulling off an upset in the later part of the tournament, but not now.

My first round Predictions are as follows

Jermain Taylor, Andre Dirrell, Andre Ward ... all win their fights by UD or late rounds stoppage. I think the truth shall be told after everyone has gotten their feet wet, either with a loss or a tough controversal win.

I also am changing my opinion on who's the favorite to win the fight ... I just have this weird feeling that this tournament was set up for Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell to both have strong competition but also to be each other's biggest competitor. Thats where all the drama lies is within those two.

I didn't realize how big Andre Ward actually was and I think that he's on the verge of being something special. He's an Olympic Gold medalist for crying out loud ... he's supposed to be put in tough and he's also supposed to prevail. He's been through it all ... and I think this will just be another testiment to his ever rising legacy. I looked more indepth at what he brings to the table and he brings alot ... as far as skill and ability. He gets hit a bit to much to consider comparing him to anyone great but the sky is the limit for this guy.

I think he brings more to the table than any other fighter in the tournament ... he's more season'd - determined - and accomplished ... there's no stopping this guy. Should he win this tournament this guy will fill a big void in the higher weight classes.

With all that being said - I can't imagine him coming out of this tournament undefeated ... but if he does ... hell if anyone does ... they are a force to be reckon'd with.

Seeing that Jermain Taylor came in at 166 shows me that he's taken his conditioning more seriously and he's looking to be the faster, smarter, "boxer" ... Abraham is going to have a long night ... there's more on the line for Taylor than it is for Abraham ... Abraham has an undefeated record, but no notable names to show for it ... Taylor has been in 10 straight fights against world champions ... Abraham is not the best thing he's ever seen ... he's been in life or death situations with the best ...

Taylor is going to show a seperation in class and skill ... I'm going with Taylor by late rounds stoppage.

hypocrits :huh.....I just think that only the two young and untested can do upset. The rest have already been on top and are somewhat ''elites'' if they win, this will not really be upset...

or maybe i'm just very bad in english....
    or maybe i'm just hypocrits...

Still dont understand why they should both be considered the samething...

I think that Ward is on a high ... he's fighting at the Oracle Arena ... its going to be sold out ... close to (if not) 20k fans ... he's the golden boy of this era of middleweights ... he's going to be ready to beat Kessler. I can see this fight being a chess match with both fighters having their moments but again Ward is a well traveled amateur ... and he's fought guys like Kessler before ... its only going to be a matter of what kind of fight Ward makes it.

I don't put too much stock in the weigh in today for Dirrell vs Froch ... I know Dirrell is going to put on a show and he's going to make the best of this opportunity ... he's going to fight hard and win but this will be one of the toughest fights of his life ... and it will be amazing if he can come out of there with a hard fought late rounds t/ko ... but Froch is going to push him to the limit ... but Dirrell will be the victorious one.

Every amateur champion has went through the "untested" phase ... what is the test? ... Floyd didn't need a test ... Oscar didn't need a test ... Jones didn't need a test ... Rigondeaux doesn't need a test ... and neither does Shimmenov ... these guys are doing it and have been doing it for a while ... they've already passed the test at a previous level and there really isn't much to figure out about these guys ... hell Ward hasn't lost in over 10 yrs ... there are only a few great ones that can truly say that for some point in their pro (and end of their amateur) career.

Ward is fine ... his biggest test is being humble enough to be consistant ...

I can see Jermain also getting screwed on a decision if it goes that far ... just because its being aired in the US doesn't mean that Europe (Germany) doesn't control the court.

Abraham is the only fighter that I have in question ... looked at more tape of him and he just doesn't seem to have the skill or the upside these other fighters have ... and i'm also going to go on record and say Kessler ... the guys that he beat could easily be beat by any of these guys in the tournament. His resume is sketchy ... great boxer ... but definitely has more to see outside of Denmark.

:patsch Why do people always compare what these fighters have done? Thats not the point I'm trying to make...I'm just simply pointing out the hypocrisy of these guys trash talking...Froch compares himself to Leonard and Hearns and called Joe Calzaghe every name in the book and its seems to get swept under the rug by many, but when Dirrell says something negative about Calzaghe, he gets blasted...Resume doesnt have anything to do what I'm talking...Its a well known fact that Froch has done more...thats not what I'm trying to point out...The point is Froch and both are trash talkers but everyone seem to blast Dirrell.
