I picked Kessler over Ward only because imo Ward is inexperienced. Ward has the talent to beat Kess, but right now, I don't think so.

I really believe his height and reach disadvantage will be too great at SMW. You can't KO what you can't reach and he isn't going to out box ANY top SMW.

See above. I wouldn't pick Taylor with any confidence until I see if AA can pick up his pace at SMW. Yeah, he got aggressive against Raul Marquez, but only because RM lacked a punch to keep him honest. Taylor will hit him harder, faster and cleaner. Of course AA will shell and do his version of rope a dope.

Well, AA was doing even less. I really don't know what the official scorecards were though.

On the topic of Pavlik v Abraham, you hold very little credibility, Boo.

You are the very definition of a nuthugger re one, and a hater re the other.

AA's team have pressed for a Pavlik fight for over a year, and Arum's excuses (and your own) have not even remained constant over that period.

It's pretty ****ing obvious who ducked who here.

(And I don't mean to imply that Kelly is afraid of Arthur. Arum is.)

If AA were so limited, Arum would leap at the opportunity to add an unbeaten champion to his resume.

I see the fight as a pick'em. Obviously Arum does not.

    Too bad.

The losers are here are the fans.

    These are three great fights.

AA-Taylor is a fight that will have everyone on the edge of the seat. Taylor can win and probably will if it goes to the cards, but with Taylor's late round vulnerability and AA's power (which is the best in this and the neighbouring divisions - p4p perhaps in boxing!) this will be a thriller. It may be uninspiring and the boxing may be sluggish etc. but the thrill will be there all along.

Kessler-Ward is for the feinschmeckers and the connousours. There will be a lot of thinking and tecnique on display in this fight. Two technically great fighters will make a fight where every little detail in worthy of a replay. I bit of a shame that these two meet so early. An expert wrote this morning that he thinks they will both get in the final of the tourney and that Ward will end up winning the whole tourney. Ward sure has the advantage of fighting on home soil against Kessler who has to travel half the planet for this fight. Either way, this is a bomb of a fight.

Direll-Froch is the most unorthodox of the three. Both are unusual fighters. Direll is a very slick, clever and fast boxer. Froch is a tough, durable and determined fighter who is sure he will win. In theory Direll should win, but so should Taylor - the fight is not over until the Cobra says so.

    ...

I still cannot really fathom that this tournament is going to take place for real. It just seems too good to be true. :bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:good:good:happy:happy:happy

agree with you, if anything it was abraham who out thought miranda and used a couple of rounds to read miranda and then it was lights out.

    :rofl

OK. Obviously YOU were at the negotiating table and can give us the details? Please. This should be interesting to know the REAL numbers being talked about? The only numbers I have heard is AA wanted $1.5 million and Saurland would throw NO money into the pot from the German TV deal. He got to keep it all. Wow. That is so fair........

    To Saurland! :nut

Yeah, AA doing his shell game is soooooo exciting.....

Look at some of the people that have seen the final bell with AA recently. NO WHERE near the class of JT. But I will grant that JT has found a way to disappoint so much recently... :yep
