I love watching fighters who use fitness and workrate to grind people down. I just read a book about Rocky Marciano and how he trained like a madman to make sure his tank was never empty in the ring.

    Joe Frazier
    Pacman

Who are youre favourite high workrate pressure fighters ? and how much is natural and how much is trained ? 3 rounds in the amateur ring is tough enough for me ! Im not sure I could ever put myself into the shape of some of these guys no matter how much I trained.

The originator and IMO STILL the best. He was just like a freight-train of motion and punches. Bigger guys just couldn't keep him off of them.

His only problem was he never threw in combinations.

Wearing down an opponent via work-rate has never really impressed me to be honest. I prefer a fighter to be broken down scientifically, as oppose to overwhelming them with more punches than they can throw back.

    Hardly the originator, though.

Jung-Koo Chang for me, though he had a lot of subtle, innate skills and abilities that would go unnoticed by most. Mainly his head movement and counter-punching accuracy.
