2007 was a fantastic year for the sport and hopefully this will continue into 2008. If Manny gets past Marquez I would love to see him fight Ricky Hatton in the summer. Imagine the fans of these fighters coming together to see their heroes at Wembley Stadium or in the states somewhere. That's my fantasy fight besides Cotto/Mayweather..what yours?

Hatton will beat Pac decisively. Big money fight though, would be an event.

What exactly would be super about that fight?

Pac would get beaten up really badly

I dont know if hatton faces pacman in 2007. hatton has some business to take care of at 140 and pacman has jmm and a whole lot of diazes at 135.

hatton SHOULD beat pacman but it'd be a aesthetically pleasing fight.

I think pbf will have to face cotto sooner or later although williams is more of a threat...and its not that big. at 154 no one cept dlh poses any semblance of a threat. only threat is 160, and those fights are insane for pbf, no one there is gonna call him out, and they dont make enough money for pbf.

ironically hatton's platter seems a lot more interesting than pbf's.

Mayweather takes 2008 off, but announces he will fight in spring 2009.

Cotto fights a gimme like Gomez, then fights Williams if he beats Cintron, Margo if Cintron wins.

Hatton drops back down & fights Torres or Rees.

    Malignaggi fights Harris.

I know but having heard the reports of Pacquaio/De La Hoya...I feel Manny would be more suited to Hatton's size and think about their fanbase.

pac will have to work hard against hatton because he is bigger and stonger. i don't know if pac's power will still be effective at 140. i'd say don't even dream of pac taking on hatton unless he defeats juan diaz for the unified title at 135, that is also a great challenge for pac.

at least pac hatton could actually happen. not like the pac-pbf and the pac-dlh dream fights being thrown around.

anyway, cotto-pbf seems like a good candidate for the most anticipated fight of 2008. or maybe the winner of jmm-pac against juan diaz.
