Not heard anything at all. Still hoping Sky or BN pick it up late. Wishful thinking maybe.

Saturday night looking pretty poor for boxing if it's not shown. We've got Callum Smith vs. a kickboxer on PPV and Warren's prospects vs. Dumplings show on BN. Although I won't complain about Barrett vs Clarke, I'll watch that. Otherwise it's a rubbish card. So fingers crossed for Superfly 2.

 

Doubt it now to be honest. Think sky were only showing these cards because of choclatito

 

Still hopeful of a late BoxNation pickup.

 

Don't think it'll happen. They only seem to pick things up late when they have nothing on. Obviously they have deals with De La Hoya and Top Rank , so sometimes they have 2 shows on a weekend but generally they think having one show a week is enough eg last week. Pathetic really, would a pay football channel only show 1 game a week or the golf channel only show one event. Hope I'm wrong.

 

On top of missing out on the Garcia card last week its pretty annoying. Especially when you consider weve got that poverty Frank card and Smith vs a novice (On box office) this weekend.

 

Beginning to lose hope that this gets picked up now. Gutted.

 

Bunce says he hopes it'll be picked up on Twitter. If it does it can only be cause of the pressure of Twitter and forums. I'll believe it when I see it .

 

What's the latest they have picked one up before? I tend to use Thursday evening as the cut off point. I tweetedat them and skyboxing for what it's worth and seen a few other tweets piling on the pressure. Hope it works.

 

I think they may have had the odd Friday pick up but I think you're right, Thursday is a cut off point. Ridiculous way to run a tv channel, it would be like sky waiting to the last minute t get episodes of the Simpsons on the cheap, or Game of thrones , it's short sighted and completely nuts. Sort out deals with all the US Promoters and then advertise the channel as the only place to watch, world class international boxing. It's surely possible and viable.

 

This nonsense has been going on since day one, which was acceptable when it was free to air for the first couple of months but out of order once it became pay to view.

 

Box Nation isn't bringing value for money as most of the bills are on in the middle of the night, there is not enough of them and most of their domestic bills are on BT anyway so not exclusive content.

 

Would I be remiss in suggesting that Sky may not be picking this up in order to avoid showing us who Yafai SHOULD be fighting?

 

Boxnation tweeted this morning saying they couldnt reach an agreement for it.

 

Yep, they want to make that Charlie Edwards fight, which is a garbage fight.
