This particular weight division has been talked about as being one of the strongest in boxing over the last couple of years..with guys like Darchinyan, Mijares, Munoz, Castillo, Montiel and Arce camping out there recently..lets say for arguement sakes blokes like Donaire and Morel could be counted aswell. Even with its short history, how do you think this era compares to other supeflyweight eras..like the 1980's Watanabe, Roman, Rojas, Galaxy, Konadu Pical et al era or even the Tapia-Romero-Kawashima or Moon-Bredhal-Quiroga eras? My point is, if this is a strong division for boxing today, does the fact that even in its short run superfly has arguably had better eras say something about where boxing is going in future years?
In my opinion, compared to other eras, this present day superflyweight era is on a slightly lower overall skill set, but producing just as intriguing or entertaining fights.
i think the same the guys arnt as skillfull but all the guys have around the same skill level so it produces brillaint fights. However i do think Darchinyan is a step above the other guys as isnt donaire a flyweight
