I most definitely think that if Marchegiano fought at age 38 he would have been dropped by much lesser fighters than Barrett.
And he actually was dropped worse and more often than Tua was during their respective primes.
Not to mention this forum's other (and yet worse) heroes. :yep
In fact , one of them was dropped much worse by Rahman .
Tua was much less stoppable than Tyson or any other man below 6'4" in boxrec terms which is 6'1.5" in reality terms.

Who do you think would be a tougher opponent for Tua , Francois Botha or Brian London ?

It would have been more of a level playing field if the 2000 Tua was put in with the 1996 Tyson. Would have been a good 50/50 one.

Tyson has too much skill, speed and even a better workrate than Tua and he'd actually be the taller guy for once.

    Nice post. :good

Does anyone else realise that fat "Superheavy Tua" only appears to have good stamina because he fights at a very slow pace, looking for one big lefthook? Against Iron Mike, i honestly think Tua would have no more stamina than Tyson, due to the slugfest pace of combat there would be. Also, if Byrd can rock Tua with bodypunches...

'91 Tyson threw rib-breaking, debilitating bombs to the body in bunches, so Tua would find his stomach churning, as the nukes denotated downstairs cripple him & cruelly grind him down.

Don't you think Tua could have done the same to Tyson ?
    Decapitation aside ?

Tyson absorbed monstrous flush nukes to his body from Razor Ruddock, & fought hard for 12 rounds of brutal slugfest war.

Tua was hurt twice by pitty-pat bodypunches from Chris Byrd...

    You do the math. :deal

In order to trouble Tyson you need size, a quality jab , movement or excellent tie up tactics. The One Trick Pony has none of the above skills.

This is a guy who was ****ing outboxed by tomatoe cans Jeff Wooden, Izon and glass jawed Rahman and triple china chin Oleg.....clowned by featherfisted Byrd and another chronic no hoper Fres Oquendo......iron chin my ass, went into a total shell after a couple of tenative play it safe chin protector Lewis right hands......the same guy who could never even pick up a ABC belt when they were handed out like candy, lol.

Even a washed up Tyson had serious TWO fisted firepower and fast hands plus he would see the left hook from a mile away........shitty fight after some early direct hits by Tyson and Tua wants to collect a paycheck and go home to Mummy.
