Lyoto Machida is the complete double of Ryu from Street Fighter.

Any other MMA fighters resemble superheroes?

There was like a 100 page thread on Sherdog with pictures comparing fighters to various game characters.

what? No I meant the word "superhero" means something else. And any characters from Street Fighter doesn't fit it. :good

By the way Ryu is my favorite SF character. Used him all the time in the arcade.

Give me a break dude. I struggled, and felt uneasy, over the word "superhero".

But at the same time i wanted it to include all video game characters, all movie characters, and all fiction book characters.

Lyoto and Ryu are ridiculously identical.

Yea I know what you are getting at. It is pretty hard to find one word that covers all those characters. Superhero will work fine. :good

Comparing Machida to Ryu is pretty good. Although Ryu is on the aggressive side and Machida is more defensive.

 Man when I used him. I would always go on the offensive. I usually start the round with either a fireball or a fake (phony fireball) so to get them to jump into my dragon punch. Then I proceed to trap them in the corner with either fireballs or low roundhouse and if I detect they are able to launch a counter power attack I jump in for a combo and I just keep people stuck in the corner. I do throw alot of fire ball, slow and fast one to confuse the opponent. I guess it feels like I am always attacking that I see myself as being offensive.

An offensive Ryu player eh? Lyoto showcased that style in his last fight against Thiago. Machida is one of the most intense fighters i've ever seen. He studies, fakes and keeps the intensity so high - it nearly always bewilders or scares the other guy into making a mistake.

If Daigo was an MMA fan, who do you think he would chose to defeat Lyoto "Ryu" Machida?

I think the person who has the best shot at defeating him would be his friend Anderson Silva.
