Hell, a couple of the rounds I gave Cafu were pretty close so this could even have been 97-93 for Libranza on a reasonable card.

97-93 Cafu isn't reasonable and 98-92 is just salt in the wound.

Man, what a journey...all in the span of a couple of hours went from having never heard of Cat Food, to looking at BoxRec and surmising that he was just a raw banger, to seeing him live and thinking "oh, no, he's a slick runner, alright" to being impressed with his skill as it seemed he might comprehensively outbox Libranza to watching him barely survive and get a gift in what should have been a draw or tight loss where he was hurt multiple times.

Corrupt country. Very few Filipinos win over there, and if they do, it’s mostly by stoppage/KO with no judges creating a robbery. Jake Amparo’s win there last year might be the only decision win by a Filipino over there that I know.

Even in the co-main, Espinas took at least three if not four rounds and while he deserved to lose he also didn't get a fair shake. (98-91, 97-92, and 99-90)

Are they always so blatant with the panel of four homecooked officials even when there are international titles on the line?

SuperSport has put out a roughly ten minute highlights package of this, and it's geo-blocked. Unfortunately that might be the closest anyone comes to seeing this if they didn't watch along with me live this morning. Gee, I wonder why they'd want to scrub full footage of this... :sherlock:

They are indeed always this blatant. The Amparo decision win and Jayr Raquinel’s KO win in the main event of that card will always hold special places in my heart. One of the few times I was able to watch along to a SA card and with beautiful results.

    Round 1 Libranza 10-9

Close until the last minute, where Libranza pulled away.

    Round 1 Libranza 10-9
    Round 2 Libranza 10-9

Similar pattern as the first, Cafu hitting gloves, Libranza lading clean counters.

    Round 1 Libranza 10-9
    Round 2 Libranza 10-9
    Round 3 Cafu 10-9, close

Cafu was a little more active early, but even then, that last minute adrenaline surge of Libranza almost stole another.

    Round 1 Libranza 10-9
    Round 2 Libranza 10-9
    Round 3 Cafu 10-9, close
    Round 4 Libranza 10-9, close

Cafu won first half, but Libranza edged it with a series of overhand rights that had Cafu stunned.

    Round 1 Libranza 10-9
    Round 2 Libranza 10-9
    Round 3 Cafu 10-9, close
    Round 4 Libranza 10-9, close
    Round 5 Libranza 10-9, close

Razor close, Cafu landed a few rights, but think the jab of Libranza was effective enough to edge it.

    Round 1 Libranza 10-9
    Round 2 Libranza 10-9
    Round 3 Cafu 10-9, close
    Round 4 Libranza 10-9, close
    Round 5 Libranza 10-9, close
    Round 6 Cafu 10-9

Cafu more effective with the jab, Libranza loading up and missing a bit too much.
