I would have to say Ricky Hatton, Wladimir klitchko, and Manny Pacquiao they are very down to earth even with there fame and very humble when they speak. I wouldnt say pavlik yet cause he is still not as famous yet but in time he will def be one of those guys who are down to earth.
what is your reasoning for saying he is not humble? the guy is probally one of the biggest boxers internationally but he is very friendly to his fans and down to earth in everyday life. Calzaghe is down to earth, but not humble I believe.
He is very down to earth; in fact, he is very common, some would say, rather vulgar. But he is not humble at all, since he believes that he is good enough to humiliate the best in the world in the ring, just because he has trained very hard for a couple of months...(after all the heavy boozing and overeating). I agree about Joe: humble he ain't, although he is down to earth.
De la Hoya Mosley.. Holyfield- Alexis Arguello Michael Spinks Ray Mancini.. Miguel Cotto. Pavlik George Foreman-2nd career.. Virgil Hill.. Sean O Grady..
There are a lot of down to earth Boxers, who are humble and show appreciation for the sport and what they do. How you view them are your opinion. So - in my opinion, I have (as far as well know names): Mosley B-Hop Cotto Pavlik Wlad Dawson J. Diaz R & JM Marquez Peterson Brothers A. Augustus P. Williams Damn near all the top Welterweights I'm going to stop - cause the more I write - the more Boxers I think about adding to the list. These guys are Fighters and Business Men. Remember Tyson/Lewis and how Mike was going to eat his kids. After he got KTFO - he was literally whipping sweat off Lewis face and saying how Lennox know he loved him. He was very humble after that ass whoopin. So - if you can see pass the acts that some of these guys put on - you'll see just how humble most of them are to be to the point that they've gotten too.
true but how many of those are SUPERSTAR? I was referring to big name guys. like pacquiao, hatton, wladimir guys who are well known and top dogs but still are humble and very down to earth even with there fame and money. most of those guys you listed never tasted the elite status in boxing especially the wealth so we will not know for sure if they are trully humble, they can turn out to become like jones jr, or floyd jr or even oscar and be super greedy and act better then the rest. people change with money and hatton, wlad and pacman have kept themselves true.
Good list, though i'm not sure about Holyfield and DLH. holyfield can never admit he lost until recentley, and DLH has complained about every one of his losses. I dont know how humble that is.
de la hoya let freddy and his boys in backstage to winky-bhop weigh in when the security were gonna throw them out, dlh also bought freddy a beer!
