Hmmm well I'm no expert on the matter but it's hard to imagine someone looking any thinner on the scales and in fact someone made a thread saying Chavez has got no arse lol,that said he doesn't come off as the proudest of men does he,Boxing Ego said at least a drained Kirkland tried something and went out on his shield trying to get Canelo outta there but with Chavez we didn't even get that and you could be right in that he boxed totally opposite to how he normally does,I know he's a spoilt brat and it makes you wonder if thought to himself I've been paid well and Canelo got GGG next so why not just stink up this fight and show em up.
In the end the only person h showed up is himself.

 

As do the Brits,wonder how many SOB v Kovalev rematch does?ironic how one of the best pound for match ups in years Golovkin finally up against class opposition that wanted to be there did terrible numbers and then Canelo(A side) v Chavez does amazing numbers,does this show what you're referring to about Mexico supporting their own and voting on their feet whereas those in the US won't even turn out to support Ward?

I've always said that GB are very good at selling fights,even Liam Smith who even us in Britain had never heard of was promoted well by GB,clearly they spend the money on promotion where K2 just don't do enough to promote the fights in my opinion.

 

Yep seems like Europe,Britain and Mexico have picked up the mantle.
It looked like PPVs had had their day which I wouldn't of been bothered about as most fights inc Jacobs v GGG should be on terrestrial TV anyway where even the US public have shown that they will watch boxing so long as its free.
I suppose with MMA doing so well it wasn't the format that was making it suffer namely it was the lack of decent match ups.

 

Chavez had enough energy to move around the entire ring for the entire fight. Also he was standing in his corner the first two rounds. If he was as weight drained as some are claiming he wouldn't even have attempted to do that.

Canelo was just too fast, too good, and Chavez did not want to get KO in the biggest fight of his life. Nacho made a mistake with the game plan, and Chavez made a mistake of not going out on his shield, and has now lost the respect of the vast majority of Mexicans and fight fans.

 

Chavez, Jr. was a huge disappointment, that fight was booed for a reason.......................Chavez was so weak he was lucky to be able to walk to the ring..........

 

I did try and tell people ppv was not dead. You make the right fights people will buy the fight.
