I want to start to take supplements to get bigger because after training my abs my stomach tightens up too much and i struggle to eat lots of food. I dont get enough food to get big so I want to start taking supplement in drink form. I dont know what to use and i hope you guys can answer these questions for me.

    1. Which is better to use creatine or whey protien? (i dont have enought cash to buy them both)
    2. What does creatine do?
    3. Are there any bad side effects of creatine or whey protien?
    4. What are your experiences of using creatine or whey protien?

    1. Whey protein is supposed to be better for putting on extra mass or muscle. It also helps you recover.

    2. When you exercise it takes longer to get fatigued and you get a far better workout and it can also add muscle too.

    3. Creatine side effects are unknown due to it being relatively new. Protein can make you feel bloated, tired and constipated.

    4. Creatine costs less and lasts longer, it made me far stronger when doing weight training because I started lifting more and getting less tired. Protein is supposed to make you put on weight but it made me lose 12lbs because it affected my appetite, like when someone goes on the Atkins diet.

If your having difficulty eating then protein may make you eat less. Creatine doesn't affect your appetite and it retains water making you a lot bigger on the scales. Cotto takes both creatine and protein and look at how he filled out.

Have a check at a sports-doc before you swallow any **** that doesn't do your body any good.

Supplements are overated for the most part imo. If your diet is good then you're alright. Maybe just a miltivitamin/mineral , for the most part. But anyway thke whey instead of creatine just 1 or 2 shakes a day, and don't expect a miracle.

Buy the damn protein. If you want extra muscle, protein is the only way you're going to get it (be it steak, or shake.)

    Shev - mistake.
Whey protein IS for recovery, protein is for recovery and building.
It DOESN'T add mass, calories from good nutritional sources is for mass building.

Whey protein aids in recovery but especially in the development of lean muscle not just recovery as you stated, muscle requires protein to repair damage inflicted during exercise and recover so that new muscle can stimulate and grow. Recovery equals muscle growth! How could protein be used for building and whey not be when whey is basically a purified protein due to dairy and ultra filtration?

I already stated that it made me lose weight, but for others it helps them put on mass along with sensible eating. When I was refering to mass I was obviously refering to lean mass which is the body's weight minus fat that he would have to cut. He isn't trying to put on serious mass like bodybuilders just lean mass like athletes.

    I'd got with the protein.

You can buy it in bulk for pretty cheap.

Creatine and protein are two different things. I think it's pretty much summed up in the above posts. Take both. I've been taking creatine, but I don't really notice that much of a difference. Still, it's not expensive and is easy to take, so I take it anyway.

Both come in powder form to the best of my knowledge.

I've tried alot of different supplements. I had to see for myself that they were mostly garbage, or at least very over priced. To me, you can't go wrong with just

    1) Good multivitamin
    2) Flax seed and fish oil
    3) Aspirin
    4) Whey protein

However, one luxury item I'd recommend is this drink called NO-Xplode. Stuff isn't cheap, however, it has been instrumental in my weight loss and training. Not because of any special properties in it. It's basically a caffeined-up crystal light, and it is GREAT for giving you a "pump". It's great if you train in the morning, gets you going right away and tastes good. No sugar and very low calories too.

too much caffeine is bad for you, it stimulates the nervous system, before a fight joe calzaghe drinks 8 cups of coffee to get a energy boost.
