Lots of good examples in this thread. I don't believe Mayweather lost to Castillo though. Getting the decision right after many years is mainly bitter.

Good one. I'd forgotten about Hagler-Antuofermo I. Even though Marvin took his foot off the gas later on in the fight he'd still done welll enough to win.

Hearns-SRL 2 was a great fight between two proud veterans. And like most,I feel that those two knockdowns clinched it for The Hitman. Sugar Ray admits it.

If Roland laStarza had got the decision in that extremely close first fight with Marciano (a fight some believe LaStarza won) when the future legend Rocky was only 25 unbeaten at that stage, then the iconic 49-0-0 Heavyweight record would be nothing but an illusion.

And Larry Holmes might have “retired” earlier…. without bothering with Michael Spinks…with his record breaking 48-0-0 intact with very little chance of it ever being broken.

Definitely food for thought,Vic. La Starza was a very tricky opponent for anyone.

I had Mayweather winning that one too.

If Ali getting that gift over Norton in their 3rd fight was reversed then the trajectory of the division would have been severely altered. I'd say Ali would have never regained the title, he could no longer beat Norton and a rematch with Foreman would not have gone well either.

Hopkins vs. Calzaghe: I thought Hopkins did enough with his superior punching, but the judges favored Calzaghe's pace. No real change to boxing history just no 46-0 and they do a rematch.
Malignaggi vs Juan Diaz 1: No change just bad decision
Mares vs. Agbeko: Idk I liked Agbeko and thought this fight put him in a bad luck zone careerwise.
Ward vs. Kovalev I: It was close, just changes Ward's unbeaten record. I think Ward wins the rematch either way.

Pretty accurate take. Ali would still get massive credit for fighting all the killers of HW.

I see Foreman jumping at the chance to win the title back, beating both Norton and Frazier again...but then it's hard to say. Whether he skipped or skated by Young most likely Holmes would have eventually stopped him imo.

I also thought that Hopkins shaded that one but it was very....very close.

If Nedal Hussein were given the win over Pacquiao, both careers wouldve played out differently.

Even if Castillo were wrongfully awarded the win in the first fight, he still wouldve lost the rematch and history wouldn't be much different.

Many people felt Chavez deserved the nod over Whitaker by a point or even two points.

Had received the deserved decision he would not have lost focus and have gone until Tszyu.
