    I bet seeing it live on a 70's TV was much better than seeing it recapped in better quality on a high definition screen right now :patsch

    Don't you ever tire of yourself, old man? The purpose of this section is to exchange opinions on what is mostly pure speculation, on your part as well. Not to listen in awe to what some self absorbed senior citizens have to say, although that can be very interesting as well. Get over yourself.

    I agree with U 2,Stevie.Whitaker NEVER fought a fighter as good as Duran,whereas Duran beat a better welter than Whitaker in Leonard when Duran was 12 pounds above his prime weight and 28 pounds above his debut weight.

    only if Whitaker fought Duran the way Leonard did the first time. Whitaker when he was at welterweight was more experienced than Ray the first time vs. Duran. He would not have fought Duran's fight. Whitaker and Mayweather both beat Duran and win UDs

    Imo,Leonard fought Duran's fight because Roberto FORCED him to. Roberto's speed and reflexes were that finely tuned,first time out. Whereas they were n't for the second bout.
