The Jab: Without a doubt Golovkin is the one with the killer jab, if he wanted he could win the fight with that, but he needs a KO so expect him to abandon it for the most part.

If anything Canelo is the one who will be using the jab, with his new mass he may try to stall Golovkin by throwing it out there.

Combos: Canelo is going to land some sweet combos on Golovkin, they will stun him momentarily. Upper, Hook, hook, expect to see alot of those

Golovkin combos are slow but they will force Canelo to go on the defensive because he does NOT want to get hit by that hammer.

Evasion: Canelo has some pretty good upper body movment and can evade combos as well, doesn't really apply against Golovkin because he selects his punches well. It's extremely foolhardy to try to evade Golovkin this way because they force him to stand still, he should try moving around the ring instead.

Despite people saying GGG has no defence, he does, he can parry, and doesn't have to move his entire body to evade, he just sort of lets the punches graze him. In any case I don't think hes going to be focusing on that, hes going for KO and that means he will get hit hard.

Counters: He can counter Golovkin, yes, but that also means letting Golovkin make the first move.

    Bodywork:
Nothing there for Canelo, bad idea. Drop your hands againstn Golovkin? Thats crazy.

golovkin may decide to abandon this as well, except to throw him off, Canelo looks like he can take body shots fairlywell.

They both box well but I think this fight will be decided by stamina, chin, power.

I give Golovkin the chin award because he has been hit quite a bit and withstood some solid hits from Stevens, Monroe, Brook, and Jacobs.

I have only seen Canelo get hit solid , sans Mayweather, a couple times and that was by Old Mosley and Khan. Old Shane cut him and Khan was boxing his head like a speed bag but neither guy had the strength to stun him. Mayweather was connecting but those were light jabs and slapping hooks.
Point of the story, I'm not sure about Canelo chin.

Yes the unknowns are if Canelo can hit Golovkin hard enough to get his respect

Also, if Canelos chin can take it.

    this will be revealed

One of the duel I'm interested in seeing is will golovkin be able to push canelo back with his jab or will canelo counter it with his right like he did with cotto. In the last 2 ggg fights he gets his opponent off balance with a jab so nothing to deter him from continuing to throw it. If Canelo could counter that would be a deterrence but I have never seen anyone do it yet.

The Jab: Without a doubt Golovkin is the one with the killer jab, if he wanted he could win the fight with that, but he needs a KO so expect him to abandon it for the most part. WRONG

If anything Canelo is the one who will be using the jab, with his new mass he may try to stall Golovkin by throwing it out there. I DON"T REMEMBER HOW OFTEN HE USED THE JAB

Combos: Canelo is going to land some sweet combos on Golovkin, they will stun him momentarily. Upper, Hook, hook, expect to see alot of those. WRONG, CANELO THREW MOSTLY SINGLE SHOT COUNTERS AND POT SHOTS

Golovkin combos are slow but they will force Canelo to go on the defensive because he does NOT want to get hit by that hammer. RIGHT

Evasion: Canelo has some pretty good upper body movment and can evade combos as well, doesn't really apply against Golovkin because he selects his punches well. In retrospect, Canelo ran like I predicted, although he ran ALOT more than I thought he would, he also abandomed his combos probably because he didin't wanna get countered in the middle of one.

Golovkin threw alot more jabs than I thought he would, I guess he figured abandoning his main weapon was not a great idea, even if trying to KO Canelo. He should know more than I do about whether or not it was a good idea the use the jab.

Canelo was proven that he has a good chin though, even other people running from Golovkin ended up getting KOed anyways like Martin Murray, Brook, ect
