Dam, sounds like you been drinking and drunk already. your statement is totally irrelevant to what I said.
Manfred i think you dont know exactly what your talking about!! This is a fight, not about who´s praying to who and when. This thread is about that someone on ESB think Ward have had several advantages through out the Super six,and has again in the final. But we can hope for a fair fight, where the best man win.
Previously Ward has had his fights in his home state, the clear intention is to ensure all factors are stacked in his favour (familiar surroundings, crowd endorsement), Showtime want him to win to exploit his future legacy and build up Bute v Ward but I think the 1 fighter who epitomises the true spirit of a fighter is Froch. He has been to Denmark and Finland to fight dangerous opponents where again he was given again no chance against and over achieved based on boxing "experts" opinions and fought Johnson in AC. For once I think the above has worked in his favour, a routine of NY then AC was established in the Johnson fight, familiarity with AC and the prevailing legacy of Hatton fight fans means he is the AC favourite and could regenerate the boxing scene given its disposition to NY and the UK. Ward is dealing with a series of firsts, probably not the crowd favourite, not the same environment and facing a fighter who does not know when he is beaten. Whilst the ref I believe will leave with his integrity intact I understand that the judges can be questioned, but who scores for the aggressive fighter rather than the guy picking him off as he comes in ? My prediction, Froch starts slow (as ever) then from 4 onwards we see a calaghze realisation (lacy) that this guy isn't all he has been hyped up to believe, Frochs chin has found no kryptonite and Ward has trouble with a paper bag leading to an 11th round TKO as froch comes forward delivering heavy punishment and Wards corner saves their fighter. The real loser in this fight will be if Ward does win and then retreats to his redoubt of Oakland and insists all challengers visit there. The obligation upon the winner is to continue to fight the best where it makes financial sense travel to do so, for every Bute or Ward we have Froch or Kessler or Abraham, let's hope the trend carries over to north america. Good luck all.
The one judge who had it a draw was Japanese. If I remember correctly the American judge scored it the widest for froch
As long its not a referee from D.C. Froch should be fine. Besides Ward is from California not NJ so its somewhat neutral grounds.
The tournament wasn't "set up" for Ward. He drew the tournament favorite in the first round and also was set to fight Dirrell, who would have been a difficult matchup for him. It's an American network, and everyone agreed to the semis and final being in the U.S. at the opening of the event. The fear dripping out of Froch fans trips me out. Your guy has a chance to win, and either way both men have enhanced their reputations in the Super Six. Maybe relax and try to enjoy the finale?
