    I’d say this.

I believe this would have been it if not for Kambosos win over Lopez. Regardless of how inconsistent we feel Teo is now, most if not all believe Kambosos was tune-up level for him at the time of the fight. Teo had just KO’d Commey in 2 rounds and beat Loma who was considered the class of 135 at that time.

I feel like @CST80 has called an upset this year that’s bigger than Munguia/Surace. Let’s be real, Munguia is not elite, he arguably lost against Denis Hogan, I know that was years ago but his defense has always been suspect.

Leo vs Lopez might be bigger. Everyone wrote Leo off after his loss to Fulton and Lopez was on a very good run.

I don't think Munguia is top boxer, so upset is not that shocking.

But that KO was really impressive from a guy who has 19% of KO ratio.

I don't think it was an upset at all. Munguia simply stepped up to the French level. There's a reason why Canelo has never fought a Frenchman in his 20 year, 64-fight pro career.

Canelo vs. Brunelo. Cinco de Mayo 2025.

Munguia was never that good he was a weight bully who had a padded record who already should've had 3 losses on his record he really lost to Hogan, Derevyanchenko, and got a gift decision in both fights.

Surprising result ? Yeah but not even close to being one of the stand out upsets in recent years.
