Come on mate, to listen to some people Haye is the only fighter ever to bad mouth to manouver himself into position. None of them are ****ing monks, they are all at it, its just Haye is better at it than most

Thats a point that a lot of people miss, if you're going to draw a lot of attention to yourself and saying you're the best out there, then you gotta be ready to take the heat if you don't deliver.

Some fighters draw a load of attention to themselves, and then their fans crib about unfair standards when they get more criticism than fighters who are quietly working their way along.

Thats what I was trying to say , if David had just worked up to the title , then I would not begrudge him this fight at all.

I admit that Wlad is effective and i respect him as an athlete but the fact is he is ruining the HW division ,and here came the saviour a fast , powerful brash in your face fighter, a guy in the mould of Tyson and Ali ( persona wise ) someone to make the marquee division worth watching again and he's shat it.

I would absolutely **** myself laughing if the unthinkable happens and A-Farce wins this.

Haye deserves to lose this, tbh, if only for his bull****.

Audley isn't as good as any of the names mentioned. Achievement wise he's done nothing in the pros, never won a British title, when he did get a Euro shot he was VERY lucky to be fighting Michael Sprott who has been in journeyman mode for about 3 years now, and he still needed a last round knockout otherwise he'd have clearly lost the fight.

Putting aside that his performance level has been atrocious. Against Rogan and Sprott he was fighting 'scared'. Scared to get hit, scared to put shots together incase he gets hit.

Sosnowski, Briggs, whoever...they're better than Audley.

:patsch These fights were at the same stage of their careers that Haye is at now...their 2nd/3rd defences...it has every relevance if you want to present a balanced argument You're making out that Haye is doing something that the Klits didn't

totally , Audley has had 100s of chances to finally show a fighters heart and every time he dissapoints ........ unless.......maybe this has been the plan all along , he's been palying the long game , lulling everyone into a false sence of security before unifying the belts by the end of 2011 :D

I understand, but you're point doesn't have much relevance here I''m afraid. Its not as black and white as just a bad opponent. I'm sure at least a couple of the opponents were mando...we all know the type of mandos the WBO was ordering around this time.

First and foremost, you think any those **** Klit defences were whacked on PPV and cost their fans alot of money to see a farcical defence? I bet neither Klit in the months leading up to their defences against the opponents you mentioned stated numerous times just how undeserving their opponent was and that they would never fight them.

Its bad enough hes avoiding the Klits for now after berating and calling them out for 2+ years. The fact hes not facing someone you could regard as top 30 or 40 in the world and putting on PPV, is unforgivable.

Wouldn't say that, Haye is coming up from being a unified champion at Cruiserweight, they're hardly in the same situation. Were the Klits on PPV at that time?

I think Audley is an awful opponent but he deserves major respect for being able to get this fight.
Yes, he's more of a joke figure in the sport but the fact he still has people talking about him in itself is a talent given his fight record

    Good luck to him.

Well they say any publicity is good publicity and this fight is drumming up plenty. You don't have to like it but this fight is getting everyone talking and its going to be huge.
Feel a bit sorry for the Haye fans who thought he was a boxing messiah but he's in it to make money just like everyone else.
Very smart business choice for both guys to be honest. I look forward to seeing the crowd split on fight night.

Hmmm, do you really believe that Haye ducked the Klits out of fear?

He's spent the last 2 years building up the PR machine to publicise a fight with them, he's hardly going to then decide he is scared of them. The reason he isn't fighting a Klit is because the financial deal and terms presented were not acceptable to him

It's a daft fight, but it'll soon be forgotten about if Haye gets one of the Klitschkos next time out. He's pretty much out of excuses after this one, though.
