Surely an announcement by Floyd is imminent?

    I didn't realise there are only 9 and a half weeks left until September 12 and we still haven't had confirmation of who he is fighting next. I know 8 weeks should be more than enough time for his opponent to prepare for a fight but you'd expect an announcement shortly especially if there is to be a couple of press conferences beforehand.

    Yea kind of weird... maybe the opponent knows already and are keeping hush. Or maybe it'll have botched promotions or get delayed. Who knows? Khan has been quiet.

    A very, very small part of me thinks it's a possibility. But I wouldn't bet on it.

    If it is Khan then he isn't giving anything away. He was in my neck of the woods on the weekend on tour to raise money for an orphanage he is building in Gambia. I asked him whether the fight with Mayweather was going to happen and he joked by saying "If the fight doesn't happen me and you will fight instead. " :lol: Came across as a really cool guy. He also said he'll find another opponent if it doesn't happen.

    The fight could still be announced beforehand and then Khan could do his press conference at the end of Ramadan.

    Lol I bet Khan is a cool guy. I'm ashamed to have judged him without even knowing him personally.

    I have nothing against Khan's wonderful charity work or what he's achieved and he is very entertaining and has ten tons of heart, it's just his Mayweather fawning, delusion and ridiculous statements that crack me up, can't take him too seriously when he gets like that. He is the most intriguing match up because he can outwork floyd for 4 rounds before he starts getting walked down and possibly stopped. Garcia, Brook and Thurman get wide UD boring losses.

    No. He announced the May 3rd fight on February 20th which was 10 weeks before the fight.
