Not to mention that Lopez did next to nothing to separate himself from the only elite opponent he ever faced. He arguably lost twice to Alvarez, whose style strikes remarkable similarities to Chocolatito's own at times.

True greatness for any top P4P star necessarily includes moving up into divisions where you give away height and reach and beating top opponents despite your physical disadvantages.

That's why Canelo is fighting Bivol. That's why Usyk fought and beat AJ. That's why Loma fights at 135. That's why Pac went up and up and up. I could keep going.

Chocolatito could easily make 112 at least yet he fights at 115 against bigger guys like Estrada because that's where true greatness is. His resume far outstrips Finito. Finito easily had the frame to go up to at least 112. Instead he sat at 105 which nobody cares about then or now and beat up guys who weren't close to the level of competition Chocolatito has faced. It's easy to look great against mediocre opposition. That's not what boxing is about.

I think people who rate Wilder>Whyte tend to rank Lopez>Gonzalez. Defences and big win streak>resume to a lot of people

The only reason why some people make the ridiculous claim to Finito looking “perfect” and “unbeatable” is because he hasn’t fought anywhere near the quality opponents that Chocolatito has faced, especially in the same league as Juan Francisco Estrada. Chocolatito would look just as good had he fought the same opposition as Lopez’s. Outside of his clean style and 0 defeats that looks good on paper, if you really look at his resume closely it really is thin.

It’s tiresome when people think that no fighter could have beaten Finito when people seem to forget that he got dropped by Rosendo Alvarez and should have lost to him in the first fight, and perhaps even the second as well. Chocolatito was not only just as fine of a technician as Finito I would say that he’s even more skilled of an operator than Finito, especially his infighting skills.

That myth on Lopez’s perfection and unbeatable H2H needs to be put to rest. No fighter is perfect nor unbeatable.

The truth of the matter is none of you have done anything with your life like we have. Gonzalez, Lopez, these are champions, and I have been defending their honour for years and while you have been doing what exactly? Nothing. Just like you are about to become. But we will remain in greatness. Because once you earn greatness by becoming great or defending someone who is great, there is no losing that. So, smell ya later, losers.
