Mayweather isn't ducking Pacquiao as such. He's waiting for the right time.

Pacquaio will take some rough shots against either Margarito or Cotto, his political passtimes will intensify, and he will get older.

We already know its a struggle for Pacquiao to keep his weight up, Ariza stated that in the Pacquiao-Clottey countdown, so that will take its toll to.

In my humble opinion Mayweather will sit out the rest of the year, doing nothing on real note, then if Pacquiao struggles or gets marked up or loses in his upcoming fight, watch him rush to sign the deal.

It's just the way Mayweather is, at the higher weightclasses, he has and will continue to pick his opponents very specifically. He will not fight Pacquiao until he feels sure he can beat him.

FLoyd will wait for Pacquiao to lose in one of his fights and then say "see, I told you he's no match for me".

other sports are different to boxing. The test that those athletes do are compulsory. If it was part of regulation then i am sure pac would take it.

Floyd is in no way ducking Manny. IMO
Its the respect & proper billing that ****s with Mayweather.

add Arum in the mix & we have this fiasco.
Not surprised whatsoever, I always anticipated this.

The negotiations, if you could call it that, were a farce this time around. One of the biggest fights in boxing history and each of the sides didn't even talk to each other? You don't negotiate through Hbo, that's nonsense. How can Floyd accept or decline something that hasn't been proposed? No contracts exist. Why do you think Arum was so respectful after the "deadline" passed? Because he knew it was no chance of it coming off in the first place. Arum has fooled you guys again.

Exactly... all you guys are arguing for nothing as there was no negotiations or contracts. Arum has everyone played and you're all falling for it.

There are some ****ing feeble and desperate defences of Floyd going on in this thread. Dire.

Pacquiao fans such as myself were...

...right in March when Floyd ducked Pac...

...right in July when Floyd ducked Pac...

...and are proved right in September when Floyd confesses he simply didn't have "the urge" to fight.

The ESB war is over. We were right all along. I proclaim this day to be V-Day for *******ism!

so what happens in May when Floyd kicks his ass. Then what?

In reality, the talk of this fight did not truly begin until after Pac-Cotto. When it happens in May, that'll be a year and a half later. That's really not that long of a wait. There have been a ton of fights put on the backburner longer than that. How long did it take Whitaker and Chavez to get it on?
