I wouldnt put B-Hop back to #.1, purely because he's the bigger man, but he would go int mix with the top 3, maybe pushing with Calzaghe & R.Marquez for the top 5's. Depends the way the fight is won, we'll see...:good
funny how it works. Someome says that Winky having a draw with Taylor shoud stop him from being p4p. Yet In his last several fights Pacman has lost and had a draw yet some still think that he is right now p4p. Interesting:huh
Let the Calzaghe lovers and Taylor haters downplay this match. If Winky beats Hopkins, he is #1. He is moving FIFTEEN pounds in weight to a division without as much as a tune-up match, for the legitimate light heavyweight world championship, against a Hall of Famer no less in Hopkins. As my name suggests, I'm a Pacquiao fan, but even I can see that Pacquiao would be no greater than #3 if Winky were to win here. (Then again, if Pacquiao can manage to beat Barrera and then Marquez in dominant fashion, then his case for #1 would be reopened. But until that happens, it's Winky's time.) Winky's last 7 fights: Mosley, Mosley, Trinidad, Soliman, Taylor, Quartey, Hopkins (Mosley was legit 154 champ at time, Taylor legit 160 champ at the time, and Hopkins legit 175 champ now) Mayweather's last 7 fights: Corley, Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya (of the 7 fighters, only Baldomir was a legit champ, which was at 147) Pacquiao's last 7 fights: 3K Battery, Morales, Velasquez, Morales, Larios, Morales, Solis (0 legit champs, and the first Morales fight was a loss)
Well, 10 pounds as it's a catchweight. Against a guy that has had ONE fight at that weight in recent times, and fought at 160 for the majority of his career. The "legitimate" LHW crown you speak of is nowhere near legit if you ask me. It's been bogusly protected by a few over the hill fighters trading on past glories. I'm not doubting Wrights recent history. I am saying this fight doesn't add alot to it. If I wanted to be cruel, I'd say it's a fight between 2 guys who moved up in weight because they can't beat Jermain Taylor.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Keep riding that horse there jackass :good So being Safety-first now takes away from your P4P skills? Oh, how convenient for the little Margarita nuthuggers like yourself, by establishing a premise for a No Defense, careless Brawler to hopefully one day get scrape his way into the top 15 :rofl :hi:
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl That's classic! So Hopkins is actually going to move down in your rankings given he wins?????
If Wright beats Hopkins, I'll put him number 2 If Hopkins beats Wright, I'll put him number 2 I'm not a fan of Floyd, but he is a titleholder in 5 weight classes. He hasn't lost and has beaten De La Hoya, Castillo x 2, Corrales, Hernandez, Gatti, Judah, and Chavez.
I am a lunatic because the man at the higher weights is Winky? A man that hasn't won a title at 160. And has never fought at 168 or 175. Didn't really think that one through did you? That's pretty disparaging towards a hell of a lot of middleweights, super middleweights, and light heavyweights. I would suggest Hopkins chose Wright because he can't punch for ****, but is a truly excellent boxer AT 154. and very good at 160.
