Surely, Khan would have to beat Prescott before getting a title shot

Khan will not face a big puncher like Prescott ever again. Warren and Khan have admitted that they do not want a title shot just yet. Why would they bother fighting Marquez and such when more than likely the top danger men will be moving up soon to test themselves against Hatton and Pac. Khan will stick around this year and pick up another couple of wins against ok names then when given the all clear he will get his belt opportunity.

Truth is Khans PPV options are limited. No one is going to pay to see him fight a patsy. Prescott is over-rated beyond belief. How anyone can be impressed with his performance the other week is beyond me. He looked barely capable of holdng his own in the UK top five... Don't believe me? Watch it yourself.

Prescott-Khan is not a good fight, Its a match up of a olympian with a dodgy chin and a very average, tall, colmbian going nowhere fast. The match would have no credability were it not for the first fight result. This time round I could see it making millions on PPV for a vacant world title. I'm 60% certain that will be the next fight.

I was thinking the very same thing and was amazed that Sky didn't mention it to a smirking Frank in the post fight interview. Oh but hang on Barrera was the number 1 contender and....

Its tough to say. The first fight Khan ever had where he had to go after a taller opponent and he got poleaxed. I'd say stylistically its a bad matchup for Khan due to his poor chin, lack of head movement and Prescotts physicalities and punch power. But he should be beating guys like Bredis easily if he is genuine world champion material. I'd say Khan by KO but it could easily go the other way. So far all roach has done is fine tune Khans offensive discipline. Its going to be interesting to see if he can make him into a decent infighter or give him a reliable defence.

The main thing I noticed from the Barrera fight is that his non-punching hand remained high at all times (pretty much) and the punching hand was snapped back.

In the Prescott fight (and his previous ones) it was left hanging, or high but loose......

I'd still stick my house on Prescott, because you don't know how Amir would react to being caught - because he would be over the course of 12 rounds. Prescott isn't anything special, but he hits hard enough to put Khan away (obviously ).

Prescott KO 6 with Khan ahead on the cards.

It would be good to see a rematch before Khan challenges for a title.I think Amir would be up for it but i dont think Warren will be too keen.If Khan did win a title Prescott should be first in line for a crack at it as a mandatory.

I don't see how either of them should be anywhere near a world title shot tbh. Prescott's only beaten Khan and Khan hasn't even fought any of the top lightweights in the country, let alone Europe, let alone the world. Mind you, it's bound to be the wbo so I could see it happening.
Warren's clearly trying to do an Enzo with Khan but at least Enzo fought Hobson!
