If he loses he should retire.

Paulie can't hit hard enough to stun Hatton and Hatton isn't to the point where he is completely useless yet

I agree. I know Hatton may be on the decline, but I just dont see Malignaggi beating him. Hatton is still a very good pressure fighter, and he has power and can fight a full 12. Malignaggi has fast hands and an excellent jab when he uses it, but he doesnt have power to hurt Hatton, and while Floyd may have outboxed Ricky, Floyd is Floyd.

Alright, look, Somebody has to take the opposite position. I see Malignaggi, the guy who survived a much, much more brutal offensive attack in Cotto, using his speed and punch output (watch his last fight: he's learned a Lot from Calzaghe: squares up, windmills, gets a lot of points), to outpoint Hatton in a hugfest. Unfortunately, it's in UK, so Paulie's F*&CKED. No chance of a decision ,whether he earns it or not.

Indeed, because you have to be able to hurt Hatton to slow him down or get him off you. No question.

Sounds like something Malignaggi would say.. So he lost to Cotto and that means he can beat Hatton, eh?

I'd like to see a Malignaggi vs. Spadafora fight.

Actually the fight is in Vegas. I agree with your assessment. Malignaggi might not have a lot of power but he has a lot of skill and we saw what that did to Hatton with Mayweather. Remember the fight where Floyd's right hand to Ricky's face was like target practice but in Ricky's words it s was "Even Stevens" http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=15583&more=1

Anyways, Malnaggi has brittle hands but he's a better boxer than Ricky and all he has to do is stick and move because Ricky will come at him. Regardless if Sr is in his corner, you can't change a tigers stripes.
Hopefully this loss will happen and he can finally fight Witter since they'll both be coming off of loses and it'll be a nice close out to each careers..

I totally disagree. I think Malignaggi is a tough kid with fast hands, fast feet, and decent timing. Very little skill. He's extremely repetitive, and his arsenal consists of a basic 1-2 assault predominately.
