After being involved in yet another Fight of the Year candidate last night with Kessler surely Froch's fight with Abraham in August should have no problem selling for UK TV coverage. It's a fight with a lot on the line for Froch as a loss could send him into retirement, but a win will see him progress to the semi-finals of the S6. Hopefully ITV will get this as they've shown a bit more interest in boxing again after deciding to screen the Khan/Malignaggi fight.

    It is crazy isn't it!

3 of Froch's last 4 fights have been fight of the year material. 2 of them have been on at European times.

Froch vs Abraham has to get snapped up because I think that could be a humdinger too.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Froch's fights in the super6 are done on a fight by fight basis with Primetime, meaning that Hennessey/Froch had the freedom to look for alternative TV options if they wanted to.

    I'm not 100% though.

I'd love to think there would be, but hugely unlikely, two fighters coming off losses in a tournament the new company would have no clue about, i just dont see it happening, massive shame, i'll have to fork out anotehr 15 odd quid lol

ITV would be nice wouldn't it - it'd raise his profile in the UK massively and if it's anything like last night it'd be great for the sport.

They would have had no problem selling any of the fights if they were priced at a realistic level.

But it doesn't matter how much you think last nights fight was amazing, if people didn't see it it doesn't increase the interest in future fights one bit.

Browsing through the US folks posts in the general last night, a fair few of the posts (for them) were surprisingly very positive about Froch, so he may well have won a few fans over there.

I wonder if it will be in Germany or Notts? I should think Froch will now be pressing to fight at home.

The problem is that, unlike Warren, Hennessey can't offer Sky anything other than Froch. Neither Barker or Murray is a big enough name.

Froch wants Abraham fight in Britain

    (UKPA) – 56 minutes ago

Carl Froch has vowed to walk away from the high-profile Super Six tournament unless an agreement is honoured that his next fight is held in Britain.

Froch claimed to be the victim of a hometown decision when he lost his WBC super-middleweight title to Mikkel Kessler in Herning, Denmark.

The Nottingham boxer lost his unbeaten professional record as Kessler won a thrilling fight by unanimous decision and said: "I am adamant that the next fight, with Arthur Abraham, will be taking place in Britain."

Froch felt he won the fight despite not being at his best and insisted afterwards that the verdict would have gone his way had it been on English soil.

With a win and a loss from his two tournament outings, Froch next faces German-Armenian Arthur Abraham in his final group stage fight. The Englishman and his promoter Mick Hennessy claim to have a long-standing agreement that the fight would be held in Britain but Sauerland Events - who promote both Kessler and Abraham - are now claiming they want it to be staged in Berlin.

Froch added: "I won't be fighting in Germany, it's as simple as that.

"It would mean me pulling out of the tournament if they forced me to fight in Berlin. So I want to get that straight from the start: it has already been agreed that I would fight at home, fight away and a fight back at home. It has been agreed with Ken Hershman at Showtime (Super Six organisers).

"So my fight with Abraham is in England or the fight is not happening and will make a mockery of the tournament. It's as simple as that."
