Suriyan Kaikanha "Suriyan Sor Rungvisai", 35, former WBC World Champion in Super Fly (2011-2012), made his comeback after a 7-year absence from the ring. He came back against a 22-year-old Thai, Jiraphat Chomphuwiset 3 wins to 11 losses and 2 draws. And Suriyan beat him on a referee stoppage in the 4th round. Fight not available yet, but it's weird, I thought he'd never be back in a ring except as a trainer. He's the current trainer of the Simsri brothers (Thanongsak and Sitthisak), the two main prospects in Thailand at the moment. Suriyan, Nawaphon's older brother, fought against the best of his era, including Anselmo Moreno, Shinsuke Yamanaka, Yota Sato, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam and others.
Blast from the past. Haven't heard anything about Suriyan after he got busted for being a meth addict. His fight was at super featherweight. Hopefully he moves down to let's say bantamweight at least, cause he has no place being that heavy. Suriyan vs Srisaket would be swell. Battle of the true Rungvisai.
Yeah it will be a good fight ! The two stars of NKL promotion boxing in Thaïland. But I heard that Daigo Higa is really interested for a fight against Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.
He then won his second fight comeback by referee stoppage in the second round against Chaitawat Thobbut, a 24-year-old professional debutant.
