I was expecting a lot of criticism on GGG when I looked at the forums today. I was a surprised to see so many positive comments on GGG's defense and how good it is and how he has some real boxing skill. It seems many just realized it after last nights fight. Jacobs did a great job but most of shots were off GGG arms or missed. Yes he landed some good shots but GGG really showed his boxing skill. Good to see some eyes opened up.
I get so tired of the criticism of GGG. In fighting Jacobs, he threw more punches, he landed more punches, he landed a higher percentage, he landed the harder shots, he dropped Jacobs, yet many posters are screaming Jacobs was robbed. How about some fair, unbiased views. Just because GGG doesn't stop Jacobs people thinks GGG is a bum, overrated, etc. What does that say about Jacobs? Hell, GGG agreed to fight Jacobs even though Jacobs did not show up for the day of the fight weigh-in, required by the governing bodies. The title wasn't even on the line because of it. Most people don't even know this. You are not allowed to come in 10 lbs. over the day of the fight. GGG weighed in at 169.6. Jacobs was a no show.
