I had a few minutes and found two articles, both printed in several papers, stating that it was, in fact, Texas McCormick from Galveston. I thought someone had debunked this. Now I am confused.

Matt did trained some fighters in a gym in an Atlantic City ghetto. Did some roofing. Became a Christian accepting Christ as his savior. Was homeless then the dementia started creeping in. I then believe with some help he was finally able to get an apartment but that's when the Lou Gherrigs disease kicked in and took his life. Very rough life. Really nice guy by all accounts. My Pop met him at a hardware store. Said he was incredibly nice and humble. Just think he asked me to go with him that day but I had crap to do. What a mistake that was!
