    I think so.

I do require 9 lists. But I'm hoping that's not too off-putting for people who may otherwise feel they have 7 solid lists. The fact that doing so gives you pause actually provides me with even more confidence that if you choose to participate, you would make an honest effort over the next month to compile lists for the divisions you are less confident about. (Not that I didn't already have the utmost confidence you'd provide such an effort, regardless)

    Am I making sense?

Again, no pressure whatsoever. And I mean that for everyone who is on the fence. I certainly do not want this to be a burden to anyone.

While I encourage participation, especially from posters I've seen make solid contributions over the years - I understand that this exercise is a very tall ask. I myself am not sure I can even do what I'm asking of everyone else without laboring tremendously.

But at the end of the day, one of the main reasons I wanted everyone's lists in one lump sum is for consistency. I've always been a bit of a numbers dork, and last time around the diminishing returns we experienced as we ventured south was something that I wanted to avoid this time.

Bottom line - your contributions are welcome, but should you choose not to participate, no hard feelings.

I'll do some reading, and watch some fights, and try and cover my blindspots, if I feel I've know enough I'll try and do some lists before it's over.

I'm going to put together some shortlists, I'm intentionally not following the format until I have lists I'm happy with, at which point I will put them into the right format.

I haven't finished writing out the names yet, so just ignore the lists at this stage, it's just notes for myself that I want to build to be fairly inclusive, then start trimming down and ordering. For the lighter weights I'll have to have a look at other peoples lists so I know the key people to look into, but I'll only do the lists if I feel I have researched everyone that deserves included enough to actually have my own opinions on them.

I understood Rummy wanted all divisions ranked? BTW I am a big fan of Mr Rumsfeld's work.

Well you are not only narrow-minded but you have problems with your eyes/ can't read obviously. Or you just lie out of reflex constatly as you are not able to be honest...
I have Ali in my top 10!!!
Both Walker and Robinson were in Welterweight at their best and Tiger at Light-Heavyweight. Papp dominated for 8 - 12 years in division.
Abraham has just a lot more achieved than Giardello, Toney and arguable Flowers (has some more defences) and won every fight comfortable there, in opposite to the rest (not 29 defeats, which are 25 - 30 percent of the fights).

Grigorian has 17 titles-defences (record of the division) and besides Leonard the longest reign. He only was once defeated by an all time great, when he was semi-retired for one year.

Leonard is on the border of my top 10, but he lost against a blown up lightweight brawler in one of his first defences and I have to had Hearns higher, as he was outboxing him and was more impressive.

Becauce you are biased as hell and live in your Boris Johnson Universe, as you can't accept merits from different cultur circles and be ignorant to everything which is different for you.

When you pretend this is the worst list you have seen in the 16 years of your life, it only shows you are either a notorious dirty liar or you have alzheimer in the endgame. There were even in the past week in this section a lot of horrible rankings made here...[/QUOTE]
    Correction to my previous post.
You have Ali at no 10 still absolutely ridiculous,as is the fact that you spelt his name wrong!

Do you think he just meant someone else? It's entirely possible.

Okay, then I just might make room for Max Klitschko as he looks too much like his father. An athletic kid who was named after Max Schmleing ( age 15 ) it's only a matter of time until he switches from swimming to boxing.

@Ra's Al-Ghul Why didn't you include Young Mitchell and Oliver Kirk?

Oliver Hardy and Captain Kirk would make more sense than some of his picks.

Matt, could you please explain this choice? I know very little about Perez's comp, and everyone else seems to regard him much higher than I. He looks fantastic on film and was dominant, but is there more to it that I'm missing?

    Thank you kindly.
