Ok when assessing power I usually factor in level of competition as an indicator.
As for McCline I actually think the opposite I think he was an average puncher but I thought his skill set for a big man was good. So while may disagree on his merits I think we can come to the same conclusion that he was a quality heavyweight.
Technically you're right about Rahman he was 00's fighter I was making point that he was well past prime when he fought Wlad.
Also if you are talking just one punch power then by all means take Povetkin off the list. I still think his punch is underrated but he is def a combination, break you down guy.
What's with all the funny spellings ending in Jew? Is that how aev translates in Russian?

Povetkin is a far harder puncher than Chagaev.

The only puncher he beat was Tony Thornton.

I'm talking about big punches and I posted Dan Raphael's summary to back it up.

Amatuer fights and martial arts have little to do with pro boxing

.Vitali who has much better chin than his brother was sparked by Pele Reid in kick boxing ,it isn't relevant to pro boxing

You are stretching much too far here.

Why argue with someone as blatantly biased as me ?

If you disagree, take it up with the author.

Perhaps you mean illegal punches? Wlad took several hard shots in that fight including a flush hook in round 3 and 9. Dan Rafael who I enjoy reading, incorporates the results of previous fights to paint a better picture of where the fighter is at that moment in time when he writes a match summary. Career Context. Wlad was not far removed from the worst year of his career and was shaky in his win over Peter. I believe that may have led to his negligent reporting of the legality of some of Peter's blows. However over the years Dan has said in his weekly chats that Wlad was felled by a rabbit punch. I cannot sift through thousands of pages to find a lone blurb but I even recall one of his readers once doing a pugilistic themed 12 days of Christmas ditty where he says 2 Peter rabbit punches and Dan gives his signature PTMS.
Dan Rafael aside, there are plenty of reports from that fight that call into question Peter's 5th round knockdowns. I have included the associated press report link and east side boxing just two of several. Besides it's all blatantly evident on film. Wlad gets clubbed like a seal to the back of the head.

Despite losing to several big punchers, Roger Mayweather did beat a few including Ruben Munoz at lightweight and Renee Arrendondo for the Junior Welterweight title.
