For me this is a stupid move from Maloney. People hate DeGale they dont give a **** about him. Also i would of liked to see Sutherland stepping it up.

Even if Sutherland does beat the guy in 15 seconds what does it proove. DeGale fought the guy in his 1st fight and has clearly improved since then.

    DeGale's Golden medal suggests otherwise

Well Darren's already told Frank to move him up because he needs a fight to get motivated not a survivor but Frank told him to trust his decisions and take his time moving up. I think Franks hoping he destroys Tchilaia and sends a message to the boxing fans and public look what my man did what de gale couldn't.

I prefer to see Sutherland in with a more live opponent from UK or Europe someone coming off a win at least.

this is a joke.maloney said he was goin to move sutherland fast and its 6 months after his debut and hes only had 1 other fight.considering the quality of opposition maloney is giving him he could have won 4-6 fights in this time.darren is 27 and he needs to be getting a move on

    Sutherland's 4-1 record suggests he's a big time charlie.

DeGale delivered and Sutherland has a stupid accent.

Stupid move. He should be fighting boxers that will challenge him. Maloney is a fool.

DeGale has more of an amateur style than Sutherland and still went down 4 - 1.

Sutherland would beat him like a red headed step child in the pros.

DeGale's accent is worse, talks like a 15 year old chav.

DeGale didn't even care about those losses around the circuit. They were a waste of energy as far as he was concerned. He only wanted gold at Beijing and he made Sutherland look like a fool.

I struggle to understand Sutherland's Irish/Jamaican/Martian twangs, I'll take the chav any day!! :good

Meh, medals in the amateurs mean nothing.

There were at least two guys better then DeGale in that competition, both of whom will achieve far more in the professionals.

When they compare careers at the end, DeGale will happily swap his gold medal for Sutherland's pro achievements.

And DeGale will still be talking like a 15 year old chav. 'My 24 - 8 career record is good, tell him Fwank'

Pointless exhibition bouts mean nothing, Olympic Gold Medals mean the world as an amateur. DeGale won a Golden medal and Sutherland won a Tin pot medal.

Sutherland has achieved nothing as a pro yet and would happily swap his resume for James's. DeGale has fought better competition including an unbeaten knock-out artist.
