If the fights in Germany I have Ottke by UD or Disqualification. Anywhere else the world Foch roughs him up and rightfully gets a UD. On a side note, I do think Ottke was a phenomenal boxer. Just protected.
We'll just assume neutral ground to eliminate any robbery talk. Ottke wasn't as bad as his reputation, and I don't think he'd be an easy fight for Froch. But I don't think he'd win either. It's kind of hard to beat Froch unless you have firepower, and/or speed... Ottke had neither. I think Froch would come on strong late and win. Ottke ultimately didn't have the power to bother Froch, which would allow Froch to take chances and outwork Ottke down the stretch.
Ottke was a good boxer but very dull and was protected in Germany. His foot work would cause problems but froch would beat him as the fight went on as long as the referee did stop carl from hitting him.
Ottke. Decision of course. I think Froch will be frustrated right off the bat not being able to land on this guy. And instead of backing off, he tries harder and throws harder punches trying to punch through that defense. Big mistake and a ytasp lots of opponents fell into against Ottke. On tape the guy looks beatable. So the Froch gas tank is low halfway through the bout and the punches are wider and slower by the round. Ottke scores heavily with that nice jab of his to win the rounds. Another case of brains over brawn and that sums up a ton of Sven's opponents.
Ward-Ottke wouldn't be competitive at all. Ward would win by a mile. Ottke had a hard enough time dealing with an inexperienced Anthony Mundine, what in the world could he do to bother Ward? Ward was just a much higher caliber fighter than Ottke.
