Which were some instances where a fighter with a swarming style overwelmed or destroyed a boxer with very good boxing skills.

Harada vs Kingpetch is the ultimate here,

as one sided a fight between these two styles as you are ever likely to see other than...Ebihara vs Kingpetch;).

Frazier against Ali was the first to come to mind.

Hagler was a terrific boxer who turned swarmer against Hearns and did it to perfection.

Glove controversy aside, Margarito against Cotto.

Even though he lost the fight on a SD...115-113, 115-113 the 3rd judge scored 116-112 for Ray Mancini over Hector Macho Camacho (the same score I had)..I don't know how Hector got 2 judges to vote for him...I have watched this fight many times and can see no way he wins more than 4 rds. To me mancini overwhelmed him on this night!!!

Another bad judging (I know that's a different thread!) Jeff Fenech totally smothered one of my favs Azumah Nelson in their first encounter. He had nelson totally pinned to the ropes throughout the entire fight. in my book a total Overwhelming of a fine boxer.

I great many of Gene Fullmer's fights, the most notable against Sugar Ray Robinson in 1957.

Carmen Basilio against Robinson in 1957 and also against Johnny Saxton in 1956 and 1957.

    Jack Dempsey against Tommy Gibbons.

Rocky Marciano against Walcott, Charles, Moore, LaStarza, and Matthews.

    Henry Armstrong against Barney Ross.

Just as an aside, I don't think Sandy Saddler qualifies as a swarmer.

Jung Koo Chang overwhelmed Hilario Zapata in their 2 fights (the first fight being a robbery and the second fight being more of a quit job by Zapata).

    Aaron Pryor against Alexis Arguello.
