does'nt qualify, Cerdan was seriously injured 1st round.

However, Cerdan swarmed all over Gilroy, himself (Gilroy) was subjected to serious weight loss in less than 2 weeks for the match though.

Armstrong Ross has to be the ultimate example.

Harada vs Fammo with a couple of Pirellis around his waist.

Taylor against McGirt, however much off the pace you think Buddy was.

Fenech against Payakaroon, though the latter was near the end and way out of sorts.

Darchinyan vs Mijares. Neither man being great, of course, though Mijares was being touted as such at the time. Very good win for Darchinyan with Mijares eventually finding form of a kind after seemingly going off the rails.

    Tiberi vs Toney.

Loi far from overwhelmed Ortiz but was almost certainly his greatest foil, or so it seems. Perhaps the one fighter who Ortiz never really had a conclusive hold over.

Chang against Zapata and Kim against Ibarra.

Wish we had footage of Freddie Welsh against Driscoll...

That plus the fact that Cerdan was more of a swarmer himself

The only reason it worked against Hearns that well was because Hearns his ego was too big to run.
It didn't work that well against Duran or Leonard.

Yes, he won against Duran but Duran gave him enough trouble despite being far from his best days.

I wouldn't consider Tyson a swarmer. He was a stalking, defensively adept slugger if anything.

It was a testment to his great chin and maybe a bit of mercy on Armstrong's part that Ross lasted 15. I think, to be fair, he was a bit on the downside though.

A young, crude Roberto Duran over a fine boxer in Ken Buchanan. Buchanan did a lot right, but it didn't matter much.

Why do you say that Hagler tried to swarm either Duran or Leonard?

Juan Roldan almost stopped Hearns, but Tommy had too much experience.

No Mag I disagree- Barkeley was more slugger than swarmer even in the second match up with Hearns- but an interesting pick.

you are right about Barkley, although Barkley did start to swarm in round 3 and Hearns landed some body punches which slowed him down. Then Barkley landed that right when Tommy was careless, but it was not when Barkley was swarming.

Roldan wasn't a swarmer either. he was obviously a slugger...one hell of a slugger in fact. Look at what he did to Frank The Animal Fletcher. He destroyed him.
