had a gym session yesterday didnt even do that much, just a bit of bag work and shadow boxing, and i was completely soaked in sweat in about 10 mins. the gym wasnt even that hot but i was dripping. im not as fit as i used to be, but is it normal to sweat that much?
I sweat a lot as well, and yes it's normal. Your body needs to regulate temperature, so there's nothing you can (or want to) do about it anyway. There are things that influence the amount of sweat, if you eat loads of sodium you'll retain more water and possibly sweat more. In general, I would not worry about it. Let it flow.
I sweat a disgusting amount even when its not that hot in the gym. By the end of my workouts my shirt is usually drenched from collar down to the bottom. As gross as it can be it's nothing to worry about.
I love that feeling when you're dripping with sweat and you've been driven to the point of total exhaustion. You're dragging your feet and you can barely lift your arms. And you can't wait to do it again. Anyways, my body seems to know when I'm wearing my training clothes, because I just start sweating as soon as I put them on, even on a cool day.
In day to day life and other sports I very rarely break into a sweat, but when I was boxing training last year my training gear would be almost dripping every time. There's something satisfying about leaving the gym wearing a darker shade of grey to what you went in with
SAtched most of the time but it is very hot here. It doesn't bother me if skipping or rounds on the bag but trainers can cop it during pad work. I would say its normal though.
Really? I think it has something to do with it. In my gym guy who clearly is in the best shape, doesnt sweat almost at all.
yes but its a factor of being well hydrated i sweat and insane amount... couldnt give a crap i also work one of the hardest in the boxing gym and by far the hardest in the commercial gym
yeh but then i know someone who is in great shape about to run a marathon who sweats buckets it means nothing , just depends on the individual
It depends on the exercise, and moreso the weight, humidity and temperature maybe. I'm not really sure myself!
I left puddles of sweat in my gym from time to time, my coach said it was good because it indicated a good heart rate. All the same I don't think it matters much as long as you stay hydrated like you're supposed to.
