PBF has outhrown and outlanded his last 5 opponents, WTF are you all talking about?? PBF throws the WW average and lands well above that. And Whittaker, he has had plenty fight with 100+ punches per round. Watch the fights, don't just read the hype, and maybe learn something about boxing.
Not saying anything more than: PBF and Sweet Pea both had average or above average punch output. It may be a boring fight, it may be a great chess-match, who knows...but whoever posted this thread is a ****ing boxing newbie who don't know **** about either fighter. There were rounds Oscar landed 8 punches, landed 8 PUNCHES, but you ain't hear **** about that. Floyd out-threw every round against Oscar, but "Oscar pressed the action" ****in idiots.
sounds like stick and move, stick and move... it's called boxing, not lets punch each other concussively. it's been around for a few centuries, you should learn about it.
Actually De La Hoya threw 100 more punches than PBF. But he didn't land as much. As for the pitter patter run reference by the other poster...well if that's all he is doing, then no one should have a problem beating him. How pathetic that they can't.
its difficult to call them punches when it looks like mayweather is swatting away a mosquito. even if oscar threw only 8 punches im sure he was at least trying to HURT pbf with them.
Not as exciting doesn't equate to the exxagerrated opinion that you have the PBF ran the whole night. It was clearly not the case.
i dont think you understand the art of punching. It's not how strong you are. His speed and accuracy makes blows very painful. It's accurate sharp blows to vulnerable areas of the body, liver, temple, nose, eyes, jaw, etc. PBF hurt Oscar more than Oscar hurt PBF. Period. Rounds 5 and 11 Oscar's knees buckled.
not in every fight, and to be fair he wasnt half bad in most fights 135 and below. . . he was brilliant in the Gatti fight. He also ran from Castillo after deserving a loss in the first, he ran from Baldomir for 12 rounds - thats just sad.
And I completely disagree. He ran from Baldomir AFTER he hurt his hand. Prior to that, he just simply dodged and hit him. And he decided to stick and move to frustrate Castillo same as Leonard adjusted to Duran,
