Pea, by fairly wide UD (similar verdict to what the Chavez fight should have been. Maybe more emphatic). He'd simply be too good for PBF.

I think I tend to agree with you. Sweet Pea was truly awesome in his day, and as good is Floyd is, he'd probably be outslicked by Sweet Pea. Plus, Pernell could, contrary to popular belief, had some pop in his punch when the situation dictated.

Incidentally, I still believe he was robbed against DLH.

I don't know who would win this fight. One thing i like in may's favor is he has better stamina imo.

    Not necessarily true

Sweet Pea was great on the inside. He got the better of Julio Cesar Chavez on the inside.

Whitaker has the better jab. He's got a higher punch output, and scores with better authority on the backfoot. I think Mayweather's style would pose problems for Whitaker, but he'd come up short over the distance.

No knockout here. Whitaker 116-112 or 115-113.

I think Mayweither would give Whitaker problems but in the end Whitaker would win 8-4. I think this is more intresting at 140 or 147.

Ive always felt that whitaker is 1 guy who could frustrate mayweather.
Floyd has to be outlanding his opponent for confidence & he wont land enough on pea to build any sort of confidence IMO.

    Whitaker UD12 Mayweather

Pernell is on a slightly better level than Floyd, especially at his weight. Whitaker UD Mayweather, either by 115-113, 116-112, or even 117-111, if Mayweather is slightly off his best.

damn, I know sweet pea, but was he really that good. No votes for Floyd WOW. I need to dig into my Library and really check this guy out. I'll say I usually bet on Floyd and I wouldn't place a bet on this fight.
