I don't think there's anything floyd does as good as sweet pea.

Don't get me wrong, floyd is a great all round complete fighter. Pea was just better in every aspect bar maybe footwork and timing.

Pea wins a close competitive decision maybe 7-5 or 9-6.

Two of the lw division's h2h greats in a superb fight! Pea edges it tho.

 

Pea's activity, jab and better fluidity would give him the edge. But it would be extremely close. Whitaker was sometimes open for right hand leads and would get caught a few times, but not enough for Floyd to win this. Duran/Whitaker is a better, more intriguing match-up at lightweight. As good a match-up Whitaker/Mayweather looks on paper, in reality it'd feel like reading a beautifully written piece with poor punctuation.
