Whitaker easily. Anyone who denies it doesn't know what they're talking about. It is that simple. I won't bother arguing it again either.

I think Mayweather's resume is underated however Whitaker has the better resume of the two.

Why dont' you like Whitaker? I mean we agree Fraud was a tap dancer and never fought the toughest guys in any division except for Castillo. Castillo beat Fraud in the first fight. I really like Whitaker. He was the best defender of all time. Whitaker also would mix it up with fighters and trade punchs with them. Whitaker fought all the toughest guys in the divisions he reigned supreme. Fraud never fought tough fighters like Chavez and Nelson. On top of that Sweet Pea defended the belts he won in each division and held 2 belts in one or two divisions. Floyd never did that.

I agree, Pea had the sickest defense of all time IMHO but his offense was almost non-existant when he faced guys like Chavez and DLH (with the odd exception of Tito - he stood in the pocket much more with Tito).

But I give the dude mad props for moving up in weight and still taking on the biggest threats . . .unlike Fraud, Pea didnt cherry pick his way up the divisions.

If his offense was non-existent against DLH how did he throw more punches, land more punches, land at a higher percentage, and drop him?

How did he do all the same(aside from the dropping part) against Chavez and have Chavez backing up in the 7th and 8th rounds while Pea gave him a beating? He did all that with defense?

I hear ya. If Floyd would have taken and won a couple of more big fights at WW, he would've cemented a really serious legacy. Maybe that's his plan after all, though.

Are you serious about the chavez fight, not seen it in years but as i remember pea stayed in the pocket most off the night and hammering chavez with combos.

Pea really wasn't just a defensive fighter, far from it, he had an unbelivable jab, could throw amazing combinations and had an insane output level, he didn't have great power but his offense was 1st class

Thats all I'm saying. I have to disagree about his offense. He mixed up far more than Fruad ever did. with the fight tn i dont want either guy to lose. I'm a huge fan of Cotto and Margarito. I also think that Marg beat Santos. It's a great fight with great fighters. This is how legacys are built and why Pbf will never be an atg and get any respect from me.

Facts are hard to consider with Pea given the amount of times he was robbed. So yes sometimes stats(not facts) do lie.
