Without sticking my chin out to the Pac fans, who deserve to be able to gloat (although they do take it a bit far, don't they?), Whitaker is not only a better h2h fighter but is also a greater fighter p4p.

    Whitaker by clear UD.

Pac, as always, would be dangerous throughout though. But if you look at his last 2 fights, he had fighters that were right in front of him, no movement, playing into his speed and power. When you put a mover in front of him, he has more trouble (see JMM 1 & 2). Now JMM has the movement of a robot in comparison to Whitaker (or Floyd, for that matter).

If Pac wins this poll ESB'ers have officially lost their minds!!

Whitaker gives Pac a boxing lesson en-route to a 10-2 decision.

Whitaker wins but it's no shame for Pacquiao, he's better ATG anyway.

Than Whitaker? A top 20 all time fighter? I don't think so.

Give him the winner of Mayweather-Marquez and maybe. Winner of Mayweather-Marquez and Shane, and definitely.

whitaker is slick but not in running mode. he has lateral movement but he's gonna be in front of you unlike floyd

id side with whitaker though. via close but competitive UD. but to say pac wouldnt have a chance is absurd

Pac could only win by outworkin Pea, but I think he'd miss too much for it to happen. Pea wins UD imo.

Sweet pea has a very good defense so it will not be easy to land good shots on him. I would pick whitaker to win on points but i wont be surprise if the judges goes for pacquiao. I mean Pac will be on attack mode and whitaker will be on defense mode and some judges likes to give it to the fighters who are aggressive ala penalosa-deleon.

It should be an entertaining fight. I cant wait to play it on fight night:lol:

It is hard to compare a current fighter to a past fighter. Past fighters are more legendary in peoples minds. Future current fighters will also have to measure up to Pacquiao and find themselves short. That is why the term "throw back" fighter is such a compliment because of the way we view past legends.. That is why if you compare Pac to any of the fighters 10-20 years ago he will lose even though it may not be true.

I"d take Whitaker in this one 8-4. He was a little too slick. Besides, how many good southpaws has Pac faced.:huh Not to mention great ones.

Sweet Pea dominated Julio Cesar Chavez...took DLH to a decision during DLH's prime while moving up in weight and survived with a prime Felix Trinidad at 147, his unnatural weight. Those are just a few of the things he did. I dont think Pacquiao can beat him, I think Whitaker was too well schooled for Pacquiao.

What do you guys think of Pacman vs. Duran at 135 or Pacman vs Pryor at 140?
