I'm thinking of grabbing some deckchairs, an esky, a cheese platter and having an informal ceremony at 11am (fight time 100 years ago) on Boxing Day at Rushcutters Bay to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Jack Johnson v Tommy Burns - the celebrated breaking of the colour line in sport. I'm thinking a half hour ceremony with selected readings and some photos. Then all return to domestic bliss. Any takers.? If Bush pardons Jack Johnson then in the words of Harry the Great from Dumb and Dumber. "Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this and totally redeem yourself"
