Wonder if 'Manny' knows much about the upcoming 'Empire' fight nights that Channel 10 plan on screening a monthly basis, soon? - the same one's that Keith Ellis announced, as a bit of a scoop, on your recent show.

I know Manny's had his own show on Channel 31 for a few years, but it's guys like him we need involved to ensure shows like this succeed.

Was fortunate to have a quick chat with Lionel & Jenny at the Lionel Rose amateur cup day in Melbourne yesterday. Fittingly, a Warragul boy won the trophy in Lionel's name, and glad to report that Lionel's still got that winning smile!

 

I'l break the Pacman scoop early...Pac will be holidaying in Oz from June 1-6.

 

Unfortunately not mate. If there was a handout with the bout list on it I didn't get one.

The Warragul lad fought in the final bout against a fellow who sounded like a raging favourite, and came from behind to win by one point. Lionel didn't come up into the ring. But the lad climbed out of the ring and headed straight over to Lionel's seat for the presentation - great stuff!

 

Daniel Smith was the winner of the Lionel Rose cup.
