Plus, wouldn't Bute be interested in being ringside to see a potential unification partner? In all frankness, Bute would have to be much more interested in a Taylor matchup than a Green matchup.

An optional can be a unification. Like I said before, DiBella's not going to let Green fight Bute unless either (a) Taylor loses or (b) he's 100% confident that Green would beat Bute. Green's main value to DiBella is as a stalking horse, not as an actual contender.

Of course, if De Leon beats Green (unlikely) and Bute then faces De Leon as his optional, Finito will claim that Bute is taking the ***** way out.
