Ellis is shooting the long jab on the body and otherwise just showing off defensively. An occasional reach-in 1-2 up top. Ruiz is walking him down but getting frozen by the jab. Ellis whipping left hooks on the body as Ruiz gets close. Ruiz flurries and gets smacked off balance with a left hook. Ellis drives Ruiz into the ropes with a doubled up left hook on the body and then doubled up right hand on the head. Ruiz is given a count and then saved by the bell.

Wicked body shot knockdown by Ellis, delivered while Ruiz was backing him onto the ropes. Lightning fast counter, almost imperceptibly so.

ANOTHER body shot knockdown, from an even quicker punch, and Ruiz is down for the count.
