Pazmino is escorted into the ring by Vinny Pazienza - who apparently gifted his "Pazmanian Devil" nickname to Pazmino with his blessing.

 

Pazmino drives his opponent into the corner, landing rights on the head and left hooks on the body. Gonçalves de Mesquita down and that's it! Half a minute in.

KO1!

 

Next Pazmanian Devil is now 7-0 (7).

Looks huge for welter. I have no idea how he made 140lb before.

 

The guy interviewing him in the ring says that Pazmino was responsible for selling a majority of tickets and packing asses into seats tonight.

 

Adrián Sosa vs. Giovanni José Gutiérrez Rivera, 6 rounds @ welterweight

 

I kind of want to see the Nicaraguan journeyman (Giovanni "BabyFace" Gutiérrez is 11-13-1) score an upset here. Reasons are twofold:

1. 12-1 career welter and super lightweight Adrián "Tonka" Sosa is picking on a natural bantamweight 3" shorter than him.

2. When the bell rang, Gutiérrez went to touch gloves and Sosa popped him in the face with a cheap suckerpunch jab.

 

Wow...man, Sosa is a GIANT piece of crap.

He was blasting away on Gutiérrez in the corner in round five and the ref tried pushing them apart to call it off - and Sosa violently pushed the ref away with both hands so he could fire more.

Honestly the ref would have been within his rights to just call it a DQ victory for Gutiérrez then & there instead of a TKO5 for Sosa.

Can't wait to watch Sosa get KTFO someday.

 

That was Sosa's first assignment in two years and eight months. As far as I'm concerned he can screw off and take at least that long a layoff, or better yet a permanent one.
