Angel has opened his mouth again like always and said Ruslan is a nobody. Ruslan trainer says they are willing to do the fight and they havent found an opponent yet for the date. Garcia has already showed he isnt scared of anybody by fighting Lucas so fighting Ruslan would not be a problem

So then of course you have TR-GB HBO-Showtime in the mix. Can this end the Cold War?? Theres been talks of Gary Russell Jr vs the winner of Lomo-Saildo. that could end it but think it'll just go to purse bid. This is the fight that you dont have to think about PPV spilt and crap like that, everybody knows it will sell, I think it could happen folks!

Im crossing my fingers, luckly the fight will sell big time and thats a big push to end a cold war IMO. 3 belts on the line, plus with 3 months away, Garcia can do that fight in no time. Lets make it happen!!!

    p.s. Garcia by KO :bbb:bbb

I don't think Ruslan is strictly a TR fighter?

Also I'm thinking Garcia moves up to 147 with a fight vs Floyd on the horizon.

He's Banner promoted but Pelullo must have ties with HBO.

He's sworn loyalty to HBO. Even if he hadn't I doubt this fight would happen simply because HBO has even more leverage over him than they do a big promoter like Top Rank. If Pelullo takes Provodnikov across the street after multiple fights on HBO, neither Ruslan nor any Banner fighter is likely to be welcomed back.

TR also has at least one more option on Provodnikov anyway, and it's possible they get more if he fights another guy from their stable. So yeah, this is just more talk and just as unlikely to change anything.

Uh Hershman explicitly declared they wouldn't work with GBP, so it's not the case that any promoter can go there.

What if Garcia fought on HBO for 1 fight? Garcia is not signed to Showtime, hes signed to Golden Boy. yes HBO said they really dont want to do buissiness with Golden Boy but like I said money talks. plus what if Golden doesnt get to much involved with the fight?

Isn't he promoted by Haymon, i don't get the subtility between the Golden Boy guy and the Golden Boy guy "promoted" or managed by Al Haymon ? Haymon fighters fought on HBO, so Arreola was Haymon's, wasn't he signed with Golden Boy too ?

Why would Golden Boy willingly step aside for the promotion of one of their brightest prospects to take on a comparatively obscure Russian on the network that's blocked them, likely on a card co-promoted by their company rival? The money that would have to do the talking would have to come from HBO and Top Rank since Banner doesn't have those resources, and if negotiations even occur, you can bet that Golden Boy and Haymon would be driving up the price for Garcia on those two. And being able to drive up the price is exactly why HBO walked away from Haymon and Golden Boy in the first place.

No, while most Haymon fighters have moved to Golden Boy, neither Arreola (Goossen) nor Edwin Rodriguez (DiBella) have.
