I wasn't aware he hurt his hand. Which round did he hurt his hand in? He was making Simpson look pedestrian early in that fight, which isn't easy to do because Simpson brings serious heat.

That makes his performance even better if true. I think it was a good performance anyway given how inexperienced he was.

Well we now have a nice little round robin going on now at 126 domestically and could be interesting to see who can prove they are top dog in that division and push on

Yeah, he showed me the scar, looked like someone had ****ing Shanked him (shanked - modern British urban term for getting stabbed, innit?)
An injury free swifty in the same fight beats Simpson IMO far more convincungly

Once John rematches and defeats Lindsay the most logical step would be up to european level and let Lindsay and Smith battle for the british so as much as i'd like to see a rematch if John beats Lindsay again i can't see it taking place....

If John had started quicker against Smith than he did he would have had that fight sewn up but he seemed to freeze and let Smith dominate him early on, wasn't until the 5th round Simpson started turning the screw and for my money still won the fight by 2 rounds.

I wouldn't argue that Simpson won by two rounds mate. Is there some kind of re match on the cards for Simpson and Lindsay?
Can't blame Simpson for wanting a step up to euro class though.

I think Simpson has earned the right to leave domestic boxing behind him and I hope he gets a chance to move up the ladder. I dont think he would get the nod over Smith unless he knocked him out as Warren has high hopes for his future. Lindsay v Smith is the logical fight imo with the winner moving upwards too. A fight with either of those guys for a bigger title down the line somewhere isnt out of the question though. Who knows, perhaps young Appleby might move back to feather and jump into the mix too. Its a better division domestically than its been for years. :)

Yeah 5th March 2011 rematch in Belfast again, personlly i'd like to see John moving on from domestic level by now but he has to keep active and believe he's also been offered a great deal for the rematch, well according to what the Scottish Sun says from his promoter.
