I was interested to see those who compete(d) what their perceptions are on the switch hitting style of fighting and the pros and cons of it?

I can see it does add an element of unpredictability to their game but have also noted some posts where by some think it is a hindrance.....any experiences in how to find the style of fighting as well are much appreciated?

I switch hit in sparring occassionally. I feel it does leave people confused & not sure what to expect. The first time I did it I stunned my coach with a right jab which was the first punch it threw. I do feel slightly worse defensively when I go to Southpaw but I feel it is something I can work on.

I think switch hitting is OK, but I have found that though it confuses your opponent it also throws your defense haywire. If you are owning a guy in the speed department it works well. If he presses though? Your D will be all hosed. I assume the more you do it the better you get at it though.
