Switching from amateur to pro

    Be interesting to hear of any stories or ideas of how things are switching from amateur to professional with no financial backing. I.e having other jobs on side, back ups in case you don’t make it etc.

    Are you really independent or require the support of friends, family and coaches to support your dream

    if you had a good amateur career there will probably be some sponsors, municipality, government etc.. in my country they make a contract with top athletes to join the army as a "cadet". They train all day and the army pays them.

    If you had a brief career or you had a lot fights but not much awards, you will probably be on your own, or financed by family, girlfriend, friends, mob.. so the best thing is to have a job where you can train a lot, f.e. firemen, police, security, uber driver etc.
